I loved staying here. Affordable, in the middle of the action, and private balcony overlooking the action. We were able to rent a golf cart and explore the entire island. We had a plumbing issue that was quickly resolved by the owner. The people who work in the Tres Mentiras bar are what made our visit so special though. They truly made us feel welcome and invited us to hang out with them at other venues on their day off. I would stay here every time I go to Isla.
This is a great place to stay right in the bustling area of Isla mujeres. Less than a 5 min walk to the water, and tons of fun restaurants directly below you. If you’re looking for a tranquil, quiet hotel room this is NOT the place for you. It is LOUD, because you are right above bars that play music late into the night. We actually kind of enjoyed the noise. Very reasonable pricing, and the manger was very attentive to any issues we had. This is great location if you are trying to be central in Isla mujeres and be able to walk everywhere.

Nice stay in the wonderful Isla Mujeres! We decided going back to Isla Mujeres as the water quality is wonderful and it is not affected by the seaweed problem of most of the riviera maya. Tres mentiras is a brand new rooms rental, located in the main street of Isla Mujeres (so if you’re staying Saturday night, it won’t be silent). The rooms are really lovely, curated, comfortable beds, good shower and silent ac. Andrea is very helpful and would surely help you out with tours and restaurants. Critics: the entry to the rooms is not comfortable is you are carrying luggage, WiFi and smart tv have a weak signal, bathroom aeration. And it would be great if the continental breakfast offered at the beautiful Lola bar in the front could be extended to a dish including eggs and bacon, because only bread and fruit is not enough for many :-)
My experience at Tres Mentiras Boutique Rooms was beyond incredible! It was a bit difficult to find at first, but with the help of some of the locals we found it in no time. It is in such a perfect location--tons of shops, bars, and restaurants! But, most importantly, it was only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Jo helped us book a last minute whale shark snorkeling tour with a local tour guide, which was absolutely fabulous. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated along with the common area with a delicious assortment of teas, coffee, and sun screen! Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying here during your visit to Isla Mujeres!
Hubby and I stayed here for a week. Clean, comfy room. We enjoyed the deck. It's close to everything. Perfect location. We will stay there again. My only complaint was the night time noise. The music was loud and didn't shut down until 3 am. Ear plugs are recommended.
Adorable little hotel with a great location - only 2 minutes walk to North beach. The Aircon is strong, rooms are clean with a fridge, beds are comfortable, shower water is hot, what more do you need? We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others. They supply toiletries, beach towels, and there is a communal water cooler to fill up bottles and a coffee maker.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Tres Mentiras Bourtique Rooms. Note that the location on google maps is not correct. The rooms are actually located right above Tres Mentiras restaurant. Perfect location for those who want to experience the island, it is in the middle of all major attractions and a 3 min walk to the beach. There clean and they offered extremely good customer service. There is a nice terrace on the top offering a great place to chill. Jo, the housing manager, was very accomodating and paid attention to our needs. The room cleaning was also impeccable. It is a little bit pricey, but totally worth it since the location and the quality of the room were great. Also, note that the restaurant plays loud music at night, so might be a little trouble if you're a light sleeper. Overall, it was the best place we stayed at during our stay on Isla Mujeres.
